I guess you have to know a thing or two about the person standing behind all these photos.

My name is Marianna Varlamou and I am 27 years old from Athens, Greece. I originally studied German Languange and Literature, but as soon as I graduated, I realised I needed to do something in order to express myself and all those thoughts and feelings I had in my head, in ways other than words. So creating make up art became my passion.

It all started after winning the “Make It Girl” creative contest with MAYBELLINE Greece. But even before that, ever since I can remember myself I’ve been playing with make up. From creating make up looks in The Sims, to drawing looks on my friends, to later doing it on models for a living.

I love what I am doing, and I feel extremely happy and blessed while doing it. I graduated from the top make up school in Athens “Freddy Make Up Stage” by Freddy Kalobratso, have successfully participated in 1:1 seminars with Korina Takaroni and through hard work, determination and compasion, I have managed to be working all on Television (“Dynata” with Kostis Maraveyas) , have done small films (Goodnight Mara, featured in Cinobo) and editorial sets and runways for the last 4 years.

As an overthinker, I think I can call myself an expert in situations under crisis, cause I have already thought of everything. I can think fast and creatively, leading to finding imidate solutions to possible problems and working with all people together as a team. I love this job , because when there’s chaos and a time limit, that’s when andrenaline kicks in and I feel such a rush to be able to control a beautiful chaos.

My brain is constantly full of ideas, colors and shapes, beautiful set ups and clothes and I love taking all this fantasy in my head out on drawing on people’s beautiful faces.

GOD I LOVE DOING MAKE UP
